Travel – A Stew With A View
Cities, coastlines, and quiet moments in between — experienced through a life at sea.

Travel, for me, has never been about ticking destinations off a list.
Working in yachting changes how you see places. You arrive differently. You notice more. You experience cities not just as a visitor, but as someone passing through — often briefly, but repeatedly.
This page is a collection of those moments.
From early morning walks through quiet streets, to evenings that unfold unexpectedly, to the small details that make a place feel real — not just visited.
You won’t find rushed itineraries or overcrowded checklists here.
Instead, these guides focus on:
- where to go when you have limited time
- what’s actually worth your attention
- how to experience a place without overcomplicating it
Each guide is shaped by real time spent there — often between long work days, during shipyard periods, or in short windows ashore.
Because sometimes, the best travel experiences aren’t planned.
They’re noticed.

Travel doesn’t need to be constant movement to be meaningful.
Some of the most memorable moments come from slowing down — noticing the rhythm of a place, returning to the same streets, or allowing plans to unfold naturally.
That’s the perspective behind ASWAV travel.
