🧽 Daily Housekeeping Checklist — Top to Bottom Routine

Purpose: Maintain a spotless yacht interior daily. Focus on high-touch surfaces, guest comfort, and overall presentation — from bow to stern, ceiling to deck.

⚓️ Morning Reset (Before Guests Awake)

  • [ ] Quick walkthrough of all decks
  • [ ] Collect used towels, linens, glasses
  • [ ] Check temperature, scents, and lighting in guest areas
  • [ ] Open blinds/curtains and air cabins if guests ashore
  • [ ] Brew coffee, set up morning service station

🛏️ Cabins & Staterooms

Daily Goals: Fresh, calm, immaculate — no trace of previous use.

Tasks:

  • [ ] Strip & make beds (hospital corners, crease-free)
  • [ ] Fluff pillows, adjust decorative cushions
  • [ ] Vacuum carpets & under beds (check for items!)
  • [ ] Dust all flat surfaces — bedside, shelves, lampshades, décor
  • [ ] Clean mirrors and glass surfaces (no streaks)
  • [ ] Wipe high-touch areas with hot wash cloth (door handles, switches, remotes)
  • [ ] Sanitize phones, light switches, door handles
  • [ ] Empty bins & replace liners
  • [ ] Check minibar / snacks / bottled water — restock as needed
  • [ ] Replace flowers or check freshness
  • [ ] Final check: lights on, blinds aligned, scent subtle & consistent

🚿 Bathrooms / Heads

Daily Goals: Sparkling, fresh, restocked.

Tasks:

  • [ ] Clean sink, taps, and counters (hot wash, polish dry)
  • [ ] Scrub and disinfect toilet (inside & out)
  • [ ] Shower & glass: hot wash, rinse, and buff dry
  • [ ] Polish chrome fixtures until gleaming
  • [ ] Replace towels (folded or rolled neatly)
  • [ ] Restock toiletries & tissue
  • [ ] Empty bins, replace liners
  • [ ] Mop floors — finish with microfiber buff for shine

🛋️ Main Saloon / Guest Lounge

Daily Goals: Immaculate presentation, no smudges or clutter.

Tasks:

  • [ ] Vacuum and spot clean carpets/rugs
  • [ ] Dust all flat surfaces — tables, shelves, décor
  • [ ] Clean and buff glass, mirrors, and windows (inside)
  • [ ] Hot wash and sanitize all high-touch areas (remotes, handles, switches)

  • [ ] Wipe TV screens and media panels (microfiber only)
  • [ ] Check lighting and scent levels

  • [ ] Check scent diffuser or candle
  • [ ] Fold tissue point

🚪 Corridors & Stairways

  • [ ] Dust railings, wall panels, and art frames
  • [ ] Wipe door handles and switches
  • [ ] Check lighting — replace bulbs if needed
  • [ ] Straighten any mats or runners

👩‍🍳 Crew Mess / Interior Service Areas

  • [ ] Wipe fridges (inside/out) and check stock rotation
